ITEC LEVEL 4 CERTIFICATE IN SPORTS MASSAGE
The
main aim of the ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy is to enable
learners to gain the practical and theoretical skills necessary to provide
Sports Massage Therapy. It has been designed for practitioners currently working
in sport and active leisure, including osteopaths, physiotherapists, sports
therapists and massage therapist. It will provide learners with advanced
palpation skills and those needed to analyse posture and range of movement. It
will also provide practitioners with a range of advanced skills and massage
techniques to prevent and manage injury in Sport and Active Leisure.
Practitioners will learn to critically evaluate massage strategies and methods
to inform on future treatments.
It is recommended that Learners have achieved a minimum level of education
equivalent to a Level 3 qualification in Sports Massage or Level 3 Body Massage
prior to commencing the ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage Therapy

Following successful completion of a mock practical and theory
you will be eligible to sit the ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage
Examinations which comprise of a multiple choice theory paper and ITEC assessed
practical treatment.
