ITEC LEVEL 3 DIPLOMA IN REFLEXOLOGY
Units 4 - International
Entry requirement - ITEC Level
3 Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology
The manipulation of the hands and feet is a form of holistic
treatment stretching far back in history through Japan, India, China and Egypt.
The underlying principle is that of reflex points and areas on the hands and
feet that correspond to body areas, glands and organs. Treatment by a
Reflexologist involves massage/pressure into these points which serve to not
only stimulate the nerve endings but influence the whole body in a natural way.
Reflexology together with many other complementary therapies has gained
increasing awareness and popularity in recent years and is now widely accepted
as a safe and natural important way to compliment existing traditional medicine.
As a result opportunities and posts exist for practicing therapists in: Health &
Fitness Clubs and Centres, Spas, Clinics, Hospitals and even Cruise ships and
Airlines. Together with private practice from home or clinic, combinations and
possibilities of work are endless.
